Video: Hooping Christmas Stocking / All In One Hooping Device
In this embroidery training video, I will show you how to hoop a Christmas stocking to embroider a name on the cuff. I am using the All in One hooping device for this application but you can also use any flat board or flat surface. It is easier to hoop if you have the extended surface to hoop on, but if you do not, you can place the bottom portion of the hoop inside of the cuff and hoop it flat. You can also create your own hooping device for this type of application using my instructions for the cap back hooping board. If you use the HoopMaster system, you would use the freestyle board and base or the cap back attachment. This can also be easily done using one of the Hoop Tech clamping devices.
Video: How To Embroider On A Christmas Stocking Cuff
In this embroidery training video, I embroidered a name on the cuff of a Christmas stocking using metallic gold thread. I used several layers of underlay, as explained in the video, and I used a lighter density for my top stitching because I used the metallic gold thread. The brand that I used was Robison-Anton and it sews beautifully with no kinks or thread breaks.
In the video, I talk about the extra underlay used to help hold down the fur of the cuff. I mention that I used Contour underlay, zig zag underlay, and Perpendicular underlay. I use the Pulse software. Contour underlay is the same as Edge run or Edge walk underlay and Perpendicular is the same as Center run or Center walk underlay.

In this embroidery training video, I show you how to hoop and embroider a wine bottle bag using a cylindrical frame attachment. See the video on how to install the cylindrical frame attachment in the Machine Maintenance section of the website. If you have a wine bottle bag that has a side seam, you can hoop it flat by removing the stitching and embroidering the design sideways or at a 270 degree angle. It is much easier if you have the cylindrical frame. HoopTech also offers smaller sized specialty clamps that will work for this type of application
