Video: Which Embroidery Needle To Use For Different Fabric Types

In this video, I will show you which embroidery needles to use on the different types of fabric. Most embroidery machines arrive with 75/11 sharp needles. While this is a good all around needle, the average embroiderer does not know that this is not correct for all types of fabric.

There are several different types of embroidery needles available for your embroidery. Garments can be ruined very easily if the wrong type of needle is used in the sewing process. This is critical in the success of your finished embroidered garments.

Video: Using Top Stitching Thread As Your Bobbin Thread

Sometimes you have a design that you want to look the same on both the front and back of the item, such as a throw blanket or a towel. The only way to accomplish this is to use a top stitching thread for your bobbin. Your item will look beautiful on both sides if you do this. The best thread for this is Polyester. It is a much stronger thread than Rayon. If you are doing towels, you will need the Polyester because it can be bleached and still hold its color.
