Video: How To Organize Your Embroidery Work Space

In this embroidery training video, I show you how to organize your basic work space. I go through my very small work space and show you how I have mine organized. If you have a larger operation, you will have your work space organized a little differently, but the important part here is that you must be organized in every area of your business in order for it to be a success.

Video: Putting It All Together-Embroidery Production Flow

In this embroidery training video, I show you exactly how the Embroidery Production Flow works. I go through the entire embroidery production process showing you how I have my order organized, how I hoop a t-shirt for a left chest embroidery, place it in the machine, trim it, steam it, and pack it ready for shipping. I also show you how to repair a thread.

Each new order has its own production envelope that accompanies it through the process, and I will tell you what information I keep in that envelope for future re-orders. There is never a question as to what was purchased for the customer, what was embroidered on the garments, or what was actually shipped to the customer. There is a complete record of every part of the order.

Video: Basic Embroidery Production-Organizing & Setting Up Team Names

In this embroidery training video, I show you how to organize your team names. This process is very simple to do. It saves a lot of production time and mistakes when you embroider team names.

This is the same procedure that I have been following for many years and it always works. It is very upsetting to get the wrong name on the wrong sized shirt and this will help to avoid those mistakes.

Each software program is different, but you can program your names in one file and set the machine to stop for each color change. This allows you to remove the one shirt or jacket and put the next one in. You will see that process in the next video called Sewing The Team Names.

Video: Basic Embroidery Production-Sewing The Team Names

In this embroidery training video, I show you the process of sewing the team names on the embroidery machine. This is done with one design file that was set up in my Tajima by Pulse embroidery software. This same procedure can also be done in most other embroidery software. Make sure that you watch the video on Organizing and Setting Up Team Names prior to this video.

When you program your machine you want to make sure that the automatic color change and automatic start is turned off. This way the machine will stop each time the name finishes and you can remove that hooped shirt or jacket and put in the next one. If you have software that does not have this option, program in a stop after each name so that the machine will stop. When you press start after the new garment is in, it will automatically go to the next name.
