Embroidery Design Quoting Grid
This Embroidery Design Quoting Grid is to be downloaded and printed onto a piece of Velum or transparency film that can be purchased from an office supply store. If you only need one piece then you can purchase it from Kinkos. You can also take your downloaded file to any office supply store and have them print it out for you on the transparency. I would get more than one copy just for safe keeping.
The Embroidery Design Quoting Grid will make it easy for you to quote prices to your customer while they are waiting. Begin able to quote immediately gives your customer a sense of security and confidence in you as their supplier for embroidered goods.

In this video, I show you exactly how to use the tools and quote your custom designs quickly. It will show you exactly how to create your quote for the customer using the Embroidery Design Quoting Grid and The Embroidery Design Stitch Count Calculator.
The first thing you must do is scale the artwork to the size of the design you want to have digitized. This is the most efficient way to make an educated guess. Remember, that’s exactly what your stitch estimate really is, an educated guess! Your stitch counts will vary depending on the type of underlay used and how much pull comp has been added.

Embroidery Design Stitch Count Calculator
This Embroidery Design Stitch Count Calculator is an Excel spreadsheet that I created with formulas in it that will help you to calculate your stitches by sections, stitch type, and lettering. Print out the Embroidery Design Quoting Grid instruction sheet so that you have a hard copy of the video instructions. This will help show you how to create your quotes using your Embroidery Design Quoting Grid and your Embroidery Design Stitch Count Calculator. I have also included a sample that is all filled in so that you can actually see how it is working.
Do not touch the Blue numbers in the far right column. This is where your calculations are and it will mess up the formula if you change them. As you add your numbers to the column just left of it, you will see how that blue number changes and gives you your stitch count.
Download it to your computer. Save it someplace handy on your hard drive so that you can pull it up at a moments notice. I have mine on my Desk Top!
